[livejournal.com profile] deathisyourart has some sort of special power. That's about the only explanation I have for the fact that she doesn't even hint at things, but just mentions them, and I sign up. I swear, between her and [livejournal.com profile] lithium_doll, I am nothing but a helpless minion.

Wait, don't go, there is a point to this post

farscape vidders: I know you are on my flist. I stalk you heartily.

Here's the deal, I agreed to sign up next month to do reviews and recs for farscape for [livejournal.com profile] the_reel. Which, recs aren't actually a problem except for tracking down links for the two discs worth of vids I have burned since my last computer ...incident. *knocks on wood*

However, currently, there are no Farscape vids submitted to be reviewed. So, if you'd like to have concrit on your vid rather than me saying "ben browder is pretty and I like the song so go and download it" (I jest, my recs will be a bit better than that, but they won't be full reviews), go and submit your vid for review.. [livejournal.com profile] deathisyourart has changed things so that imeem and youtube vids are allowable now to submit for reviews (just no yousendit/megaupload links allowed).

ETA --- also, Death is really looking for folks to participate for Veronica Mars and Lost fandoms. Come on, two live fandoms like that shouldn't be so...empty of vids at the reel.

Exactly! We know that they are hardworking, can actually produce on a deadline -- even if they only start working 15 minutes before the deadline -- and will want to do anything that doesn't involve a lab report until you mention the word "essay".

Also, there is already a new Farscape vid for you to review. ^_~

I LOVE doing research, give me a library and some coffee and I am good for weeks. However, the moment I actually have to structure and write an essay I want to slit my wrist -- the anxiety is just that bad. I don't think linearly, I think in circles, so I could easily talk an argument out and do it conversation style, but essays are far too linear for me. The connections make sense in my head if I can come at them from angels other than head on.

I have a science and art background, I am not a writer by any stretch of the imagination. Visuals or chemicals that go boom; words and I are un-mixy!

*closes March*

Although I don't think that that would have been a problem since everyone seems to be either in the middle of school hell or vid-farr.

I had a nice little convo with myself over it.

Me#1: Pick Avastark!
Me#2: No...pick the Unchained Melody one. It's romantic and has lots of pretty explosions.
Me#1: No! Do the Linkin Park one. *gives self 'the look.'* Wait, I already picked Avastark.
Me#2: Well damn.

Yes, I'm a doofus at times. geek

Plus, i think it's some of your best work yet.

*blushes* Thank you. Happy Cry

this must have taken FOREVER to render.

I actually don't think it was that bad compared to others like the Scorpius/John one which took a couple hours each time I rendered it.

It's the finale shootout in LGM3 set to Unchained Melody, so yeah...You'd still get your fill of angst. ;)

if you'd like to have concrit on your vid

That sounds like one of the most breathlessly terrifying things I've ever heard.

Seriously.

And I've heard a lot of terrifying things.

In trying to choose from the hundred billion FS vids I've made *g* I went with the last one on the grounds concrit would be more relevant, less reviewer-abuse *g*

Hidden on a hard drive? Oh heavens no, I flaunt my follies *g* Except for that one time (http://www.alter-idem.com/vids/draft.zip). That, I never put out. I like to think it will balance my karma in some small way.

Then again, if you can forgive the MX vid ...

Bwah, no, the SU2 on is up on my site and will never be taken down, it's the crack that keeps on giving.

Nooo, that was to a UK show called 'Ultraviolet' and involves vampires (except they're not called that) and is all very angsty and Davenporty.

It's a good show (all, like, 6 episodes of it *grumbles*), so if you have the chance to check it out some time totally worth a look
