farscape vidders: I know you are on my flist. I stalk you heartily.

Here's the deal, I agreed to sign up next month to do reviews and recs for farscape for

the_reel. Which, recs aren't actually a problem except for tracking down links for the two discs worth of vids I have burned since my last computer ...incident. *knocks on wood*

However, currently, there are no Farscape vids submitted to be reviewed. So, if you'd like to have concrit on your vid rather than me saying "ben browder is pretty and I like the song so go and download it" (I jest, my recs will be a bit better than that, but they won't be full reviews), go and submit your vid for review..

deathisyourart has changed things so that imeem and youtube vids are allowable now to submit for reviews (just no yousendit/megaupload links allowed).

ETA --- also, Death is really looking for folks to participate for Veronica Mars and Lost fandoms. Come on, two live fandoms like that shouldn't be so...empty of vids at the reel.

Exactly! We know that they are hardworking, can actually produce on a deadline -- even if they only start working 15 minutes before the deadline -- and will want to do anything that doesn't involve a lab report until you mention the word "essay".

And actually, I'm the atypical scientist. I like essays, i hate benchwork. heck, i went to the science nerd high school because they'd let me take more english and history than my regular school.

of course, this didn't stop me from being stupid and possibly majoring in something other than science in college. :P

I LOVE doing research, give me a library and some coffee and I am good for weeks. However, the moment I actually have to structure and write an essay I want to slit my wrist -- the anxiety is just that bad. I don't think linearly, I think in circles, so I could easily talk an argument out and do it conversation style, but essays are far too linear for me. The connections make sense in my head if I can come at them from angels other than head on.

I have a science and art background, I am not a writer by any stretch of the imagination. Visuals or chemicals that go boom; words and I are un-mixy!

btw, since i am your favorite person, don't let anyone sign up for farscape for march :):) I don't want half my recs to disappear in a poof of smoke :)

I actually don't think it was that bad compared to others like the Scorpius/John one which took a couple hours each time I rendered it.

I think I used the wrong term when I said render.

I meant, it must have taken forever to time all the clips to the drum beats and such. :)

Trust me, it's generally more terrifying on the reviewers end of it, at least in terms of vids I think. Like watching the movie your worst enemy directed and going "umm, I can't show how stupid I am by not getting the premise of this right...aaaauuuugh". :)

Nooo, that was to a UK show called 'Ultraviolet' and involves vampires (except they're not called that) and is all very angsty and Davenporty.

It's a good show (all, like, 6 episodes of it *grumbles*), so if you have the chance to check it out some time totally worth a look
