Back at work, only a little bit later than planned. won't affect me and B, but my run on the machine will now bump the guy behind me just a tad;) Oh well, he can live w/ a thirty minute delay I'm sure.

reasonably awake. Was blaming my poor sleep on the tea I had last night, but since I just had a short (hopefully) bout of tummy trouble, methinks it may have also been related to the small slice of brie I ate last night. While my new lactaid pills from gnc do usually cover me for almost the whole day, I hadn't ever really tried to test that w/ any FATTY milk product before. Guess I know now.

I have blisters. Basically, my feet are like the princess and the pea. If I'm not wearing socks and comfy sneaks, odds are I'll get blisters. I wore my dansko sandals yesterday to go to work since I'd worn them once before w/no problem...only that time I was out w/ B and being driven almost anywhere. So the strap across the top of my foot gave my left one two small blisters, the strap on the top on my right foot gave me a huge honking blister...and the bottom of my right heel somehow has a blister. *shakes head* They haven't actually popped so they aren't painful yet, but the one on the bottom of my right foot feels weird.

needless to say, I'm wearing thick socks and sneaks today.

We went and saw Little Miss Sunshine once work was done. It was very good. Not quite Kiss Kiss Bang Bang good, but very well done and better than 9/10 of the dren out this year. I highly recommend it (though be careful before taking teens to see it as their parents may get annoyed).

Not much else. Should do laundry tonight (situation is night desperate), but I know I'd have to fight for machines. I think I'll try to do it early in the morning. Instead, I'll clean the bathtub tonight (keep having to put it off due to repeated bleach treatments. Should have tonight as well, but forgot until after I started spraying. Fortunately nothing blew up and I made it out of the bathroom before any bad fumes started).

I like the points this article makes about lack of cargo inspections on plane flights Note, I mean commercial cargo traveling on passenger airflights.

However, I do mind having to give up my liquids etc. I know that I'll have to fly in November if I attend the conference I'm planning to. I can only hope that these ridiculous cautions are gone by then since this will mean that I can't back an ice chest with ice packs of any kind to take on the plane for food --- and while you may say that I can survive plane flight w/out food, it is very convenient for me to have a meal on hand the night I check in at a motel to eat than having to hunt for something safe to eat (food allergies). Additionally, when I go home to Oklahoma for the holidays, it's nearly impossible for me to get a direct flight which means I'm on planes or in airports for upward of 6 hours. Most airports don't have any food I can eat. Yes, i can survive on nuts and fruit, but under the current guidelines, I'm not even sure they'll let me bring my own of those.

Basically, this is going to boil down to me flying ALOT less if I can avoid it at all. Which means I won't' be taking any willy nilly vacations anywhere which will affect the economy. This is going to land us back into a recession again (assuming you don't ignore the fact that they fix the way they calculate the numbers. If they calculated them the same way they did 10 years ago, we'd have been in a recession for the last five).

I just want my water bottle and little minicooler and my eye glass case. I'd like my mp3 player and a book, but I won't be picky here.
