Court rules against FCC in indecency suit
If President Bush and Vice President Cheney can blurt out vulgarlanguage, then the government cannot punish broadcast televisionstations for broadcasting the same words in similarly fleeting contexts.

Excuse me while I gloat over here a bit :) I'm very happy to see one court at least smacking down the neocons in power as to their whole "two separate standards of decency" thing they have going on. Especially since they're led by two of the most vulgar and crude politicians we've had on the national stage in a long time.

Life imitating Studio 60?

So of course, Fox has to become my hero even as I anticipate the speedy cancellation and mistreatment of Drive. Basically, Fox is suing the FCC after being fined for unbleeped cursewords on two awards shows.

The FCC found the broadcast indecent and Fox sued, looking for clarity as to what constitutes indecent material.

Fox is confused because the FCC does not issue clear standards aboutwhat is and is not acceptable on TV and radio. The agency believes thatdoing so would amount to censorship, so they only sanction broadcastersonce a show has aired.

Pretty good article and I have to say, GO FOX.
