My landlords are currently in my apartment. My apartment which is actually mostly clean EXCEPT for the sink FULL of dirty dishes.

GAAAAHHHHHHHH! *FLAILS*

I wouldn't mind so much if they weren't there to investigate the BAD SEWER BATHROOM SMELL. I can just hear them telling me what said smell is coming from in their opinion.

Thankfully I did take out the garbage (foul smelling due to thrown away broccoli). I even *gasp* made my bed. (a habit now for a week or so since B has taken to coming over to escape his roomate). And I cleaned the bathroom this weekend so there's no orange crap growing on the sink from splashed water.

I didn't empty the bathroom trash though.

I can only hope they are gone by the time I get home so I don't die of mortification. I really preferred anonymous rental companies where you didn't have to worry about this stuff. And I wouldn't have to worry about this except that all the units in the building were sold so all the staff in the building ARE LEAVING and we won't have a true maintenance staff until the first of august.

*gnashes teeth*

Moral of the story: NEVER EVER EVER REMAIN IN A BUILDING THAT CONVERTS TO CONDOS UNLESS YOU PLAN ON BUYING YOUR UNIT. No matter how much you don't want to move.

Did find out the new lease signing will occur mid august ish. So I may look around to see what the prices are of other things I may want just in case I change my mind. *nods* Yep.

And we won't mention how annoyed I am at labmates that stood in the study room while all the papers I printed out were printing BLANK because the ink had run out. Gaaah.

I need a flail icon.

I'd better hurry up and pay some money into the federal government because it looks like I won't have a lot of extra cash lying around come september. Just spoke to my landlord and it looks like my rent will be going from 850 to 1000 to stay for the extra months. *shrugs* I could look around and consider moving somewhere else but that would require a lot of expense as well plus the fact I probably can't get less than a year's lease anyways. Plus the minor worry of whether I'll get my rent deposit back from this place given the state of the glaze in the bathtub (though that's totally not my fault!!). Landlord is peeved that the cable hasn't been installed --- I'm just like, dude, I don't have time to wait around all the time plus it's not like I'm missing it. Yeah, he's paying for it, but what does he care if I'm not using it? He is going to try to light a fire under the maintenance people here, but apparently it's well known that the state of flux the building is in means not much gets done.

Also annoying is that the laundry card machine has suddenly decided to not take 20 dollar bills. I know I've managed to get the things to take the new twenties before, but now all of a sudden, no can do. Fortunately, I had two fives, so I do get to do my laundry, but this means I don't get to do the two quilts that have been waiting forever. And I doubt I'll feel like going to get more money as it seems the coffee has kicked off my cramps. Oy.
