Okay, I confess, I actually ended up taking the weekend off. I feel better for it. And the farscape love is soo back on.

Was it just me, or in SoD, was John at first in his white T-shirt and khakis in his brain? And then once he decided to start fighting, in the black shirt o' angst and leather? I almost stopped and rewound, but the controller was on the other side of the room. I love seeing him go nuts each and every time and giving Harvey the beat-down. Sooo cathartic.

Stark isn't bothering me as much here for some reason. Hmm..

Self Inflicted Wounds -- oh man, I don't think I've ever rewatched this episode. I couldn't remember about the sabotage and the serpent until about half way through the first episode. And then I was convinced the invisible crew members were the serpent. I feel bad for the serpent. It's not like it asked for that -- no attempt at communication even. Hmm, wonder if he's the watchdog for the wormhole aliens?

Ooh, this was the "Rygel develops empathy" episode for the most part. Of course, it only took getting his nose slits broken and Stark telling him that pilot liked him, but still. He did the bigger thing for once.

D'argo and any man is so the OTP friendship. At first I was laughing at the fact that D'argo and John were all butch and sundance, and then it was D'argo and STark being butch and sundance. Of course, you can't beat the D'argo and John scene in what will become Lola --
CRICHTON: All right. Two for two-- you're not still feeling a little suicidal, are you?

D'ARGO: Not in the least. Now, this looks interesting.

D'ARGO: Now, what do you suppose it does?

CRICHTON: So far, scare the crap outta me.

And one of my favorite exchanges of the entire series:
CRICHTON:My Grandmother used to say that life is... a great wheel. Sometimes itgrinds you down into the mud, and other times it... lifts you up intothe light.

D'ARGO: Are we strapped to this wheel?

CRICHTON: That's a given.

That's just soo...I don't know. Thing is, you could put it into a half a dozen series with whatever characters and it would work, but with all the dren that happens in farscape, it just feels almost new.

Also, after watching the entire series, Jool isn't annoying in this intro episode, but rather the return of an old friend. I guess knowing how they'll all grow mitigates most of their annoying habits.

That said, the death sequence for Zhaan still drags on about ten minutes too long.

I really want to mainline some more farcrack right now!!! But first the dishes and the vacuuming I swore I was going to do today. And something to do about the mess I made while digging up lease info.

mmmm...farcrack. sooo good.

Yay, FarCrack!!! It is by far the most addictive substance in the universe.

I haven't watched the beginning of S3 for a while... I too had forgotten all the stuff you just mentioned. *g*

You have just put your finger precisely on one of the elements that makes Farscape what it is. IMHO. :)
