They've given me the go ahead to start writing my dissertation (with the condition I finish and submit my two papers first).
So they're going to let me have a phd after all.
Thanks for all the good vibes -- apparently they worked. (though now apparently I get to listen to a lot of drunk people scream outside my window. Oh well, for every reaction right?).

Eeee, I can't wait for tomorrow -- leisurely morning of watching tonight's spn and then maybe some relaxing writing time in the evening. Relaxing time when I can write whatever I want without feeling too guilty (cause I'm giving myself till sunday to do whatever I want before throwing my poster for San Diego together and starting to write papers in earnest).
