So something struck me as I was watching the episode. The demon is killing the mothers of the kids at the age of six month. Most of the kids apparently survive it -- at least Sam and Max did. All the kids presumably have some sort of ESP, telekinesis etc. In the case of Max, this caused his life to be super super shitty and turned him into a killing machine.

Sooo, is it the purpose of the demon just to set the kids up to go evil? Or is it more? Is it to predispose them to evil so that it's easier to possess them (or just recruit into whatever funky blood telephone plan Meg is in)?

Also, I'm wondering how old Meg and her companion are? Something tells me they are the same age as Sam (assuming they're human w/ possible possession) and that they have similar/same powers as he does. Evidence -- companion managed to pin Papa Winchester to the wall. I was busy w/ dinner, so I'm not sure if Meg has evidenced similar powers.

Also, is it possible the demon is one of these kids? Granted, he has the fun the vanish into thin air power, so probably not. But the throwing of mom against the wall and up the ceiling struck me as almost Max-like....so possible???

Dean owned the episode even if he wasn't in it very much. Sam....continues to annoy the hell out of me but that's my issues w/ the actor mostly. Please don't flame me for it.

While he's not Jensen (who totally owns everything as Dean!), Jared doesn't generally bother me all that much, but tonight he really did take me out of it with some of his acting choices. Not good at all. So it's totally not just you.
