Gawwwd, what happened to lying and stuff being against their religion? Can I just say once again how much I really hope THEIR god doesn't exist? Cause really, Paradise Lost had it right.

*sigh* Those people are so nuts. What they're doing isn't going to change a thing, nothing ever has. I mean, can you say "wire hanger"? Why not just let people do what they're going to do safely? *shakes head*

I meant generally, those people are nuts. The people in that story were extra crazy and criminals, of course.

I should be surprised, but I just can't be. I've come to expect this kind of behavior from those bible thumping freaks...
I'm so horrified by that story, for the poor girl...I'm sure there are many, many more stories like it since the fake clinics have been operating.

"Our principles mean nothing unless we stand on them even in the most inopportune of times." Joan Allen's character said that in The Contender. I loved that movie for that one line, and I will go to my grave believing it to be absolutely true. Lying is not standing on their principles. They and I have the same religion, but not the same faith and not the same beliefs. My God desires integrity. My God desires truth. My God desires love.

God's existence, or lack thereof, has nothing to do with this. people act on their own, have always, and blame their acts of atrocity on their divinity of choice. it's not God's fault, in whatever incarnation, that people whore him out.

as to what they're doing, i respect people's right to disagree with what i believe is an inalienable right. they have a right to voice their disagreement, and to do so publicly and loudly. they do not, otoh, have a right to violate my rights [or laws] in the process. kinda loses them the so-called moral high ground.
