Delay wants his handgun back

Texas suspends the handgun (concealed or no) license of anyone with felony charges against them. Delay is facing felony charge of money laundering. But you know, the laws don't apply to him or Cheney or any other member of the Rove leadership puppets.

Another reason to avoid Texas -- looney politicians carrying handguns!!

I don't really understand why he's appealing!! I mean, the law is pretty simple - you have a felony charge, you can't carry a gun. I wonder what his grounds could possibly be...

I assume he'll argue that a) his felony has nothing to do with guns or violence, b) he hasn't been convicted and it's all a democratic political ploy anyway, and c) he needs his gun to protect him from all the judges he's pissed off with his unconstitutional comments.

Not to mention the fact that, oh yeah, that law was never intended to be used against folk like him.

I wonder if he'll also bring up the fact he doesn't really live in his jurisdiction, just owns land there?
