soo...first for the gripe...I'm sick of rain. Got well and truly soaked on the way home from work today thanks to the left over of Jeanne. Fortunately the big city missed all the itty bitty tornadoes that hit elsewhere in our area (and yes, i mean itty bitty tornadoes. I'd forgotten that there even was such a thing as an F0 tornado on the chart....think that always ends up classed as "straight winds" in the Midwest. Actually, knock on wood, have been really lucky to probably always miss tornadoes. Was in MO for the F5 through OK (which is good since I actually went to high school in Norman and OKC so I would have been on the bus in between during the tornado most like). And was on the east coast for last summer's freak tornado outbreak in MO. But anyways, still find it entertaining how big of a deal this city makes out of bad weather. Granted yes, flooding has done a number on our traffic, but we've flooded every time we've gotten more than an inch of rain this summer thanks to too much rain and a dam that broke back in May!

So, that's that. Annoyed at myself for not writing much on anything. Muses haven't been pecking away for one reason or another but I think that may be a function of not having as much free time. But that is something I need to get used to since I ain't good enough to make a living at it---not putting myself down Cassie, just being realistic and wanting to pay my bills. Anyway, going to try to do better....just have to figure out what to focus on or if it will be better to take turns focusing on things. Uggghh...sometimes it really sucks to have four or more stories going at a time. Just realized I've actually lost tracked since my writing folder is a mess and I've not posted all of them online. Ahh well...enough complaining. Should get to writing. Let's see if I can find that durn alternate Zoe bunny.

Glad you're only a little wet, and not blown away! I'm certainly glad this year not to be living on the east/Gulf coasts. Whew.

It always amused me to watch all the students from all over the world try to deal with the freaky weather in Columbia. My freshman year a guy from Texas actually went out in shorts in February cause it was sunny outside. And no one could figure out how to drive in the snow.

I found a couple fun writer places:

The SciFi/Fantasy Writer's Association (http://www.sfwa.org/)
A list of resources for writers (http://www.livejournal.com/users/peacockharpy/260576.html)

And if you're really insane, try writing an entire novel in November:
NaNoWriMo (http://www.nanowrimo.org/)

is I've been focusing too much on what I'd need to do to break into fiction biz.

Oh, I can totally relate. I'm not sure whether I'm procrastinating writing or learning things I need to learn to write. I guess I can think of it as learning things I need to learn while I'm procrastinate. :) I've got like four novel ideas, a fanfic novel in the edit process, a fanfic novella that needs to be edited, various fanfic plotbunnies that escaped a while ago, and some nebulous short story stuff floating around. Blargh. Strangely, I feel like I'm making real progress.

*hugs back* and the erotica is like everything else...waiting for me to remember it. :)
