sob! fall is here....:(:( sorry i still haven't registered summer since we only had 3 90 degree days all summer. sob! winter and its frigid ass temps are coming...not fair! Oh well....will definitely be making an effort to visit the midwest next year so i'll actually appreciate cool temps for once.

Well most everyone else is doing this, so i figure i'll throw my hat into the ring and record my thoughts on the new tv of the season so far.

LAX----wow, can we say hugely surprised? I thought this would end up being CSI at the airport but it's not at all. Has some tones of Las Vegas but really it is its own show entirely. Not to mention pretty intelligent writing as in the best i've seen on tv since boomtown's demise (which is the real reason i have complete and total antipathy toward CSI, Law and order and all their clones).

Medical Investigations -- okay, I love Neal McDonough but learned in Walking Tall that even an excellent actor can't save a horridly written and directed movie. That said, MI isn't too bad. The first episode wasn't completely predictable...actually no okay, none were I just knew which disease would end up being culprit on the last one i watched but not how it was spreading. But in their effort to separate themselves from CSI, the writers/directors get really annoying w/ McDonough's characters voice overs. I can't think of a better way to do them, but it doesn't make them any less annoying! And i'm sad.....i really like McDonough as a bad guy:( who am i kidding, i'm still in mourning for boomtown.

Father of the Pride or some such like that --- this actually reminds me a lot of that dino show they had a few yrs back before even family guy. Pretty well done though i wish the writers would give up w/ the sigfried and roy characters. they are just too annoying. rest of it is pleasantly okay though..dunno if it's gonna survive.

Joey---haven't dedicated alot of time to watching this as it has aired the same time as a Blue collar tv special and then one tree hill. Seems pretty good though..as in actually better than friends I think. Comedy is in total joey vein...most like 2 and a half men.

Blue Collar TV--the best thing since Whose Line is It Anyway? Very very funny, and I'm talking about the one that airs on the WB since i don't have cable. Actually saw a bit of the cable version once and I can assure you that the language is much cleaned up although some of the humor does get sexual at times. But funny! I don't know how funny it is to people who don't have a frame of reference for redneck jokes, but give it a try!

Ummmm......that's all that i can remember that i've seen that's new. as i've mentioned before i have somehow become hooked on one tree hill. Can't stand the oc or it's clones though. One tree hill actually has some pretty good acting in it...writing okay. I think it's better than i remember 90210 being in its first seasons, but then i couldn't really judge quality of tv back when i was 13 either...then i still thought macgyver was the highest quality that tv was so i was pretty dumb back then.

Did I mention it was in the fifties in August? It's been in the eighties all week here. Crazy, crazy midwest weather. We'll probably get snow on halloween this year, and then have a week of sixties in November. *shakes head*

Strangely, I can't get myself interested in watching tv anymore. If I remember I'll try to watch Lost, since people all over lj are pimping it like mad.

Hmm, I'm not really interested in watching many movies lately either. Perhaps this is sign of computer addiction?
