Mac question

As much I loathe them and they loathe me, still they are occassionally the only computer free in the lab.

However, while I can log onto LJ on them, I can't get Apple Safari or Explorer to let me view my friends page or even recent entry page. Explorer just won't while Safari tells me that there were too many redirects to process. I try typing in the "new" address and get the same error.

Any of you Mac people got a clue of how to fix this?

You know, that happened to me last Friday while I was on a Mac during Digital Illustration class. It would let me update but I couldn't view my journal nor my friends. I thought it was a one time fluke.

It used to let me just fine, I wonder why the hell it's doing that now.

it's been like this for me since they changed the web site cookie addresses. But I know enough mac users to know they must have found a way around it.

well....it will show me a page when I click on the link in yahoo...but if I try to login, post, or anything, nada.

Grrrr...If I get on a pc, I'm so posting on the help desk. annoying.

Oh, sure. Blame the Macs. From the support page: Some users report being unable to access their journal or friends page while logged in. This may appear as either a "cannot find server" error or "maximum redirect error" depending on what browser you are using. In most cases this is caused by problems with your local system clock. Please check that your computer's date, time, and timezone are correct. LiveJournal's developers are also working on resolving the root cause.

You may be right. I am in a different Mac lab at school and I am able to access it now.

I know, macs work for some people. But I swear, they sense me at the keyboard and start to torture me.

Point in fact --- yesterday MS word on the mac refused to work properly at all. gaaah. hate the things hate them. It's like .... well, it actually reminds me most of the frustration I had from ages 5-9 trying to learn how to ride a bike. It's like suddenly I'm forced to do everything left handed and the mac clouds my brain or something.

Thanks for the help though, I'll see if I can fix it so that at least when the frustration gets too great I can flee to the prettiness of flist.
