Okay, finally at work:P PO actually didn't take as long as I expected, but I made up for it when I figured I'd go ahead and get my watch adjusted....which took half an hour because apparently the links aren't intuitive or easy to remove (sooo glad Ididn't have B do it.)Now I just need to decide whether I'd rather have one more link removed or not...as much trouble as the woman was having, I didn't want to have to ask her to put one back in --- she was nice though and charged me the quoted price even after figuring out how hard it was to do. I do hate tight watches, so this will be a wait and see decision.

Then since I was running later than expected, I figured i'd go ahead and pick up my glasses rather than wait and do it this afternoon since I didn't bring my other pair to work w/ me on purpose. Guy then had trouble adjusting them to my face so they weren't crooked.

Which brings me to another issue --- why do glasses ALWAYS look different than you remember when you picked them out when you finally recieve them? And no, it's not cause I was blind -- I had my contacts in when I was choosing them. I also firmly believe that when you settle on a pair, they should adjust them then and there for you so you can decide if you like the fit. Becuase dude, I liked the fit fine when I purchased them, but now, ick. It's not horrible, but it's not like it was. And i've decided I don't like them when they are setting on BOTH ears (my ears are horribly uneven. I know, everyone's are, but trust me, this is a tad ridiculous). Sadly, this isn't lenscrafter's so it's not like I can return them. And Idon't hate them, they just aren't like I recall them being. No pain either yet, so that's of the good. All in all, I'll just need to decide if I want them as "at home" glasses or if I'll just leave them here at the lab for "lab" glasses.

But that's a bit done from my "to do" list. Start my experiment, eat during the first incubation, and then go card shopping during the long incubation. And be very careful not to scratch watch while I'm testing it out. (though I can't decide if it's just this watch or more how unused to wearing a watch I am, but man, it's heavy. Probably the not being used to watch and the fact it's platinum instead of silver or whatever the old one is. It at least, is just as pretty as I remember. Plus dude, over half off, *pets the precious*).

Did realize in the jewlry store that I'm going to have to start thinking about what to get B for a grad gift especially since it really looks like he'll manage by end of summer unless something horrid happens. I'll have to see what his preferences are, but at this point, I'm thinking money clip, watch, or cufflinks.

and the xmas music pain continues. Gaaah, they'll probably be playing the shit at airports won't they???

Unfortunately, that's quite likely. *feels your pain* Alas, there are many scary carolers and happy-musical-Christmas-types wandering the streets... : )
