All of these come from
twistedchick, but I had my own thoughts as well. If you want to see her comments, go see her entry for today because I gave direct links for all of these.
Pres Bush declares the constitution a $#%^@ piece of paper. Scary. Really. The author of the article claims to have talked to three people present at the meeting that this happened.
Secret, unnamed witnesses being used against Saddam. Hmmm, maybe that Internation Court of Human Rights is a good idea after all. Cause if we're going to try to turn the world into our democracy and allow "tribunals" where defendants aren't allowed due process, I'd rather go with the inefficiency of the UN. Milosevic's trial may be taking forever and appear to be a farce, but he's at least getting to face and question his accusers.
If you are the victim of rape, or seeking the morning after pill for any other reason, you better not go to a Catholic or Private hospital. So know any athiests rich enough to found a private, non-faith based hospital?
Remember Bush's big push for Faith-Based initiatives to help the poor and etc? Well, here's a harbringer of the future: a Michigan man sentenced to a drug diversion program after his drug conviction was told that his religion, Catholicism, was witchcraft and that he had to covert to the Pentecostal faith or go to prison. Which begs the question, if his religion had been witchcraft, what then? What about freedom of religious worship acts that have been passed and certified to apply to the prison system? Ridiculous. But I bet Dobson is happy.
And, we're in danger of having the Patriot Act become permanent. A few senators and reps are fighting this, including Feingold, but not many. Say good by to the United States of America and hellow to the United Fascists of America.
And to conclude, these are just a few of the reasons to make sure you are registered to vote for the 2006 Congressional elections. Especially if you live in a Red state.

As of today Catholic hospitals are back to not being exempted -- and therefore having to give out EC to rape victims.
Don't know how long that will last before it ends up in Court though . . .
