Well, I don't have to worry about breaking myself for a while. Soccer league doesn't have a game this coming weekend due to labor day, and then I'll miss the next 2 with my vacation week. I feel bad as our team is short handed, but oh well. Now to kill the procrastination bug and start working out some to just get in shape period as the one game kicked my ass enough to prove how out of shape I am. (seriously, it's bad when even the muscles in your feet get sore from lactic acid buildup).

The amount that I feel better this week probably proves that point that my 2 "WFH" days on friday and monday about exactly how badly I need my upcoming vacation. Fortunately, have managed to confirm all my plans (at least insofar as who I'm showing up to annoy). so now I just need to be sure to get all the work done that I need to before I leave on the 9th.

And of course, they've finally decided that they will be constructing the new cubicle for our group and we'll be moving into it on the 9th and the 12th. I've told my boss I don't care so long as he doesn't put me next to a wall infested with bugs (or that makes me feel closed in) or sits me somewhere with direct sunlight glaring in my eyes or on my computer screen. I should probably also state "not next to anyone that wears a ton of perfume or eats popcorn". Yes, I'm high maintenance.

ION, my brain has twigged into that place where it's bored with my normal in-head mary sue ficcing (ie, what i've done since about the age of 10 to entertain myself during boring times like say commercials, shower, or falling asleep. I feel it's a better solution than what my parents do which is apparently count. Have I mentioned that they are weird?). Which means I should dust off some plot bunnies and see if I can get the frog to wake up. Of course, I need to be good and do this after I clear off my work to-do list (*looks around expectantly for the frog to wake up RIGHT THIS MINUTE*).

However, as work has slowed done a touch, I finally felt like I could go ahead and schedule my fasting blood tests for my physical that I got the form for ohhh...back at the end of June. *face palm* And the car goes into the dealer on Tuesday for oil change and general "shake it and make sure it won't break when driving from NJ to OH to Ontario and back to NJ" tests. I expect I should just go ahead and schedule another appointment for the end of September for another one....;)

And in case anyone is as worried as my mother, no, the part of NJ I live in (as in this exact side of town and the way I drive to work) is not under water and was not under water at any point this past week. Now, the answer changes if we're talking about almost any town/area 15 miles in any direction. Also no issues for me directly with downed trees/powerlines other than some map hunting yesterday to determine how to drive into Princeton to meet friends for lunch without hitting a road blocks.

Hmmm......

I just realized that one of my potential vacation plans involved me driving 2000 miles in 10 days.

Of course, regardless, I'll be driving 1300 miles at a minimum.

Better make sure my massage cane is packed either way as this will involve some sore shoulders.
