I hope this is true.

Okay...the padding parts are still barely half done (probably less), but I've pasted in the results sections and the graphs, also put in a couple of figures for the intros, and we're already at 33 pages single spaced.

Methinks there are many many good reasons why one should not attempt thesis writing in a day. Many.

Apple pie lara bars are actually pretty good to me today....I guess I was not in a sweet mood earlier. That or they'd packed all the cinnamon into one tiny bar. (luridmuse - I can still send you some to try if I get to the post office next week). I'm also trying to convince myself not to go out to TJ's to grab more croissants and beef jerky (turns out, I just like this flavor of jerky better than the other). Really trying. But maybe some fresh air will do me good. And it is supposed to rain like the dickens tomorrow (and only be 75!! WTF?). Moving about can't hurt too much, right?

Bushies don't want you to have abortions or have emergency birth control, but they're perfectly fine with lots of chemicals in the environment that cause spontaneous abortions. So I guess, just take a trip to texas and drink some river water if need be.

Sex ed stances of 08 presidential candidates

A little bit of an early warning..

I told this to luridmuse the other day, but figured I'd better say it out in public before the event.

At some unspecified point this coming weekend, I may go dark for a few days. Monday AM (the 30th), I'll lose internet and landline phone here at the apartment and that's the day I move. So far, I'm scheduled to get my cable connected and the cable internet stuff on Wed, Aug 1. But well....we'll see how that goes.

I know it will be very difficult to be without my spam. One good thing about going to work on the 31st will be getting an internet fix (Yes, I admit my addiction. I just don't want to do anything about it).

*looks over shoulder* I know, I know, get back to work on the thesis. ;)

I hate discovering an important paper that was published in the last year that I should have known about.

Worse, I hate it when said paper involves an aspect of biology that I tend to try to ignore because it is pretty mind blowing to keep track of (micro-RNAs. I'd explain in more detail, but oh my god, I loathe the things. I'm still adjusting to the whole fact that the dogma of DNA->RNA->protein isn't true anymore. I prefer to follow a field once they've worked out what the hell is going on instead of contradicting each other every week). And then I hate crossing my fingers that a review has been published that manages to explain said paper in understandable detail. The review I found wasn't great --- wording had me crossing my eyes several time, but btw the words and the pics, I think I have it figured out.

Oh, and ( yes, yes, reality TV is my guilty pleasure - I'm a bad fangirl. Big Brother spoilers )

Oh, the above review also had the added benefit of finally spelling out what the abreviation of this one protein was.
