so yeah, just got the email today that abstracts for the grad group retreat are due september 5. Which okay, two weeks notice, but still. Gah. Why can't they give us the deadline date when they demand our money in may?? Really.

Basically it boiled down to the fact that the DoJ attorneys wouldn't put forth an argument other than "the courts don't have the authority to rule on this issue".

*scratches head* I know we are all upset and worried about how well this generation of schoolchildren is learning science etc. Was there equal worry during Bush/Cheney/Ashcroft/Gonzales school days about how well we taught American Civics and Government??

In further wackiness, a 60 year old has been reportedly called back to duty by the marines for active combat. I really hope he's really only going to be in charge of basic training.
