Basically it boiled down to the fact that the DoJ attorneys wouldn't put forth an argument other than "the courts don't have the authority to rule on this issue".
*scratches head* I know we are all upset and worried about how well this generation of schoolchildren is learning science etc. Was there equal worry during Bush/Cheney/Ashcroft/Gonzales school days about how well we taught American Civics and Government??
In further wackiness, a 60 year old has been reportedly called back to duty by the marines for active combat. I really hope he's really only going to be in charge of basic training.
