Yes, yes I'm insane...but I'm a fanfic whore which should be no suprise to anyone on my list.

So, here's my question.....is there any longer fanfic challenge community for Farscape anywhere? Just curious cause while I stumbled across farscapefriday, it's mostly drabbles (100-500 preferred) which is sooo not in my comfort zone. Anyone know of anything similar to say ff_friday?

If not, would anyone be interested in co-modding a longer fic challenge community w/ me for farscape? *bats eyes prettily*

While I'm at it, anyone have any season 1 fic recs for me pre-scorpius from farscape? I've been searching but everything I find for season 1 seems to be chianna and scorpy centric. Thanks:)

Soooo...kept putting off a specific experiment and decided to put it off today as well in interest of seeing if I had the antibodies before aquiring the cells. Fortunately this turned out to be very very very fortunate because the antibody that I need in order to reproduce my data from last year per my committee's request is.....well, the tube was in the box but gee, don't you know it, my inconsiderate lab mates LOVE putting tubes into boxes EMPTY. This actually occured to me yesterday when i found one empty tube in a box when I was coating some plates for a different experiment...fortunately it was a cheapish reagent that we generally keep multiple tubes of.

Soooo...now I have to wait and hope our lab manager gets around to ordering in the next day or so...she's not so great on that. Already was pissed today because I found that either someone erased or closed the order form w/out saving on an order I'd put in previously for a development reagent I HAVE TO HAVE to develop the western blots I've been working on for a week.

Siiiiiiigh. Really, I should have just skipped grad school and become a lab manager. It's what I end up doing anyway since our's can't figure out her job after 2 years of doing it. Wait, no take that back, she knows it, she's just been very wily about consistently doing less every single month so that less is always expected of her. She's probably faking not being fluent at english too.

Must remember to go look for cheap breath mints for lab meeting tomorrow *giggles*

Huh...so this is what happens when you go without listening to the radio for over a year. A record gets released by one of your favorite bands w/out you knowing about it at all!!

Yes, I just joined the land of the obvious to learn that 3 Doors Down has released another album. Wasn't wowed by the last so i think i'll try an instore listen first (couldn't get enough off of amazon to tell).

in other news, amazon.com emailed me a notice about this album but I can't tell if I want to get it. Is this Snow Patrol doing cover's of these songs? Or by their original bands?? Just curious if anyone on my flist knows more than I. I'm wary if it's not covers since I've never heard of ANY of those bands..seriously. Just call me your neighborhood musical idiot okay. Plus the cost of the cd is like half of what it would cost to buy the second season of the shield. New music or entertainment. Gaaaahhh, too many choices not enough money.

Now then, am I going to go check on my "equipment" (yes, i'm nervous since I've friended some new people lately) or am I gonna hurry home while there is still a little sunlight to enjoy? It will be hotter than hell at home, but I do need to go by the grocery store anyway:P And I can still go down tomorrow morning. Geez. Can't decide. Hate my job that forces me to deal w/ my allergies without proper compensation.

*glares at pan* I'm actually hungry, hurry up and cook. Sorry, just been so long, it's actually an event. And decided to celebrate it by trying some chicken dumplings (chinese style) from trader joe's. Here's hoping the sugar in them is cane cause everything else looks good.

Big Press for Firefly

Glanced over at fireflyfans.net and this post caught my eye. Apparently the firefly prequel comic is getting some big national press from newsweek.

So that's it?? That's all? That was a disappointing episode of House. I'd really thought that the writer's had gotten past this completely one dimensional and flat story telling. ( spoilers )

Made me really miss the shield and want more episodes. I swear, that show is like crack...after you stop watching it, everything on network tv seems like it's going way too slow w/ way too little content. Siiiiggggghh.
