Well no not really. Sorry apparently my brain has been working overtime since
fleshlycherry's feedback and love meme for me. Just kinda realized some things since then:
a) am getting a decent handle on maintaining plot continuity over a large number of pages
b) it's a hell of a lot harder to maintain a consistent grasp on character motivation than plot over a large number of pages.....at least when the character isn't one entirely of your own making. Sorry...it's been something that's been nagging at the back of my head as I realize that the farther I get on Camoflage, the more I tend to fall back on "canon" Zoe motivations/characteristics. Which may not be necessarily a bad thing, it's just not something I'm one hundred percent certain on. And I tend to get the most stuck when I'm having problem w/ character motivations --- happened at one point in Susanna's Story until I realized I hadn't really explained her enough (which resulted in the Atherton chappie). Anyway, long story short, the result has been that a fic that began primarily as a Zoe character fic has mutated into a Wash and OC character fic because I know their motivations.
Anyway....just some ideas/realizations that popped into my head and well....though i'd share in case any of you fanfic writers on my flist who have recently started writing longer pieces start to encounter similar probs. Of course, could be I'm just slow since I'm using fandom to teach me all the lessons that good creative writing courses should have *kicks self for not taking gen requirements earlier in college*.
Toodooloo.....off to conquer some..err go to work:) LOL
ETA...on the other hand, now for the endless debate --- to take an excedrin or not. *glares at weather*
