Spring is arriving which means I need to finally do my (deep) cleaning. or really any cleaning since it’s something that hasn’t been done in months.

But in some selective productivity, I got my taxes done. And after a brief scare where it looked like I owed 8 grand to NJ, I realized turbotax makes it really easy to miss the fact that it somehow is counting the separate NJ and NY state W2s as 2 incomes in NJ. I wish I was making that much $$$. Then I might be able to consider purchasing a house before 2022.

So instead get a nice little refund. Woohoo. Also I need to be better about keeping track of donation e-receipts because the 4 hours I had to spend tracking down all the ones I did is crazy.

Work is about to become crazy so super glad i didn’t talk myself out of my Feb vacation, even if I didn’t find Miami to be all it was cracked up to be. Need to fake learning a therapy area in 2 days so I can develop a meeting agenda, lots of moving parts and new peeps that have messed with process resulting in me having to forcefully review things, and trying to figure out how to keep things moving when Problem Child - now practically perfect child - goes on paternity leave. Which also involves taking a lot of deep breaths to not lose it on my other 2 team members who haven’t worked much on our largest account end up needing hand holding for every fracking thing. Sigh. But, newest employee is excellent - eager, uncynical, hard worker, and a fan girl.

As a result of all this, pulled out of small fandom Big Bang. Going to continue poking at the story (don’t worry halcyon_shift), but need to figure out where its going, and all that.

Yeah, it used to be that charities receiving at least $100 in donations had to mail you a receipt. But most rely on email these days. I have a separate email folder for tax related receipts, so I just pop them in there when they come in. Then it's easy to just scan back for anything from the past calendar year.
