1) voluntarily left home at 16 to go to a residential school...for nerds. What can I say, it was the only way I was gonna be able to date while I was in hs;) LOL.
2) Wandered through a grocery store at 1am in the night while my two sugar-high, sleep deprived, and possibly drunk friends ran through the aisles screaming "Mommy Stacey, Mommy Stacey". Yeah, you had to be there.
3) Been pulled over by cops in Nowhere IL and interrogated about where I was going and coming from because two friends who went to college w/ me were international students from Ghana.
4) Had my car searched during said stop.
5) Spent at least one minute turned over in my floaty baby seat in a pool beside my mother before my brother swam across and turned me over because he couldn't get my mom's attention (she was holding the floaty thing and talking to a friend) when I was around two.
6) Jumped off a diving board backwards, but not far enough and caught my nose and lips on the end of it (8).
7) Fallen down an entire set of wooden bleachers (age12).
8) Rode w/ my mom to the hospital when the neighbor girl down the street got shot accidentally by her brother. My mom was the only adult home on the entire street at the time.
9) More nosebleeds than I can count for no reason what so ever.
10) Sat next to a perfectly behaved one year old on a plane flight who didn't cry once during the flight. In fact the kid flirted w/ me the entire way. Swear!!
ETA...11) Okay..had to add this one when I realized it...Had mono twice in my life...age 8 and 18. It sucked both times though was more fun contracting it the second I suppose.

The January after September 11th, I was in a car with [livejournal.com profile] almound and two other guys of stereotypically Muslim ethnicity. Almound and I were the the back and the other two were in the front, we pulled up to a stop light and there was a police cruiser in the next lane. I was just casually looking out the window and when they saw me one of them gave me a look. One that looked very much like 'if you need help, just nodd your head'. Now I can't be certain, but it does casue me to raise an eyebrow of suspission.
