jebbypalYeah so I finished season 2 and wasn't wanting to say anything about this but now that I can't jinx myself --- first boxset to NOT screw up on any single episode so that a show had to be played on my computer!!! So either all the other box sets are cheaply made or the xbox has problems w/ tightly coded discs that have too much info on them?? cause I didn't have any probs w/ season 2 -- didn't mind that there were only 2-3 episodes/disc or anything else and the menu looked fine to me. All of it was worth it to just not have the freaking discs freak out on me!!!
yeah umm...wow. Thought that the trilogy could have been cut down into two episodes w/ tighter writing, but not bad at all. Loved the recruitment of the mercenaries and who was surprised when the pirates turned?? One thing I've got to say....when in the heck will this show ever stick w/ preconcieved notions of science? Okay, can understand scorpy somehow by chance surviving the booby trapped rod (and John's fight w/ himself both of these times was brilliant), but hello, Talyn fired on the frigging depository?? How the hell did scorpy survive that? Did I black out on non-gelled Ben love or something?
DMD was almost so painful. John is wonderful as a tortured character and they never stop torturing him, but Aeryn's death scenes???? Yikes. I know it's partially as a statement to prove how total Scorpy's control is but still......Again, not surprised at the doctor's betrayal but still....can't imagine how the start of next season will be w/ no aeryn (at least initially...skipped ahead in just reading the backs of the boxes to figure that one out) and John all muto-bizarro and I'm sure more than a little antagonism for the crew over aeryn's death.

Date: 2005-02-23 06:53 am (UTC)I was surprised the pirates turned so late; I kept waiting for them to turn and then got caught up in the action so didn't expect it to happen when it did. DMD is so painful; I loved it. Scorpius is a total bastard. And they really do never stop torturing John. Poor guy.
