jebbypalWow, okay, so it's been a bit. But not much new -- surprise surprise, i've not managed to get in habit of using the train to try to wake the muse. :( Feel free to give ficlet prompts though to aid the cause if you so desire.
So, cube at work has already moved once :( sadly to less desireable position though i couldn't have known at the time (move was to put me closer to rest of medical team instead of the center of account services purgatory aka the place where someone is always talking loudly on the phone). So far, it's quieter but that's outweighed by the blast of cold air from a poorly positioned vent that I have on the back of my head and neck all day :( Only thing i can say is it's evenly distributed so no one shoulder is getting frozen more than the other. I did have to ask that a neigbor switch their horrendously scented alcohol based hand sanitizer ("i didn't even realize it was scented" --- "trust me my swelling sinuses don't lie") with another version that is safe for me but that was done with a minimum of fuss.
We got the snake antivenom account that I was put on the pitch for since no one else knew anything more about it than I did and I at least was familiar with all the snakes and where they occur (give it up for the okie). The lead strategist that was also in the pitch later said when describing it to everyone else to the effect of that I must have known what i was talking about and that I used a lot of words he wasn't familiar with plus the request that I repeat these words. I honestly have no clue what he was talking about. *shrugs*.
Oh, and I got to be a foot model last week. An account for a toenail fungus treatment needed a "how to apply" video shot because people keep using up the entire bottle in one go and they took pics of volunteers feet to see who they wanted and I was one of the lucky few chosen (they wanted non-gnarly feet). I did get a free pedicure (sans polish) but was the first person to do it so had to suffer through an hour and a half of moving around and holding certain foot postiion for up to 10 minutes at a time. NOt fun according to my arches which validates all my life choices thus far :)
That's that. I did watch snowpiercer this weekend and was less than impressed. Too much exposition and too many loose clothing on Chris Evans. :(
