Soo....weekend was okay. Nothing went as planned, but was nice to see my friend although I realize I'm still in a weird place mentally where it is very tiring for me to be w/ certain people I think. Didn't really put on much of a face since I think she'd see through it..but well, I dunno. We've always been two different people whose ideas of what is fun is different. When we were in the midwest it was fine cause there was never much of anything to do, but now on my weekends well, I'd prefer to just gel. Wasn't painful, but oh well. Was just how it was.

It's over now and so I finished my farscape episodes....although now I dunno if I can wait till march (going to have cancel the order I made for the next set of episodes anyway cause I paired them with a book for supersaving shipping that would delay them till april...acckkk). I could buy the next eight for the season one as used off of amazon and not shell out too much money (I'm sorry, 17 bucks per 2 episodes is toooo much. As it is, I'm going to be crying when I have to order another season set and it's 100 bucks. Acckk.) I think I will attempt to hold off for a while though. I should really first make sure to get everything I need for my thesis committee done first...cause I know if I have them, I'll HAVE TO watch them. And I don't want to skip ahead to season 2 yet. Which would put me at march anyway meaning I could wait for the next starburst edition to come out meaning I just have to change my order. Hehehe.. Sorry for the rambling. Yes, I think that I can manage that. Then assuming I get to stay in graduate school, I could consider actually getting my IRS refund this time around and using that to buy season 2. Hmm....This could work.

These last three really made me start to appreciate the series more. I like what they are doing w/ Zhaan's character and I really liked how they handled the fight over the star maps in Mad Scientist. Though it is weird that they keep having absolutely no mention of Earth at all for whatever end of the galaxy this is. Or sorta. i imagine the fanfic is absolutely deluged w/ fics about Moya and crew encountering the little grey men. If it isn't, I'm blown away. This episode also just illustrates so soundly the differences between it and Star Trek...and yet, just when you think that you can predict how people will act based on the anti-star trek feel, they manage to surprise you .

OMG!! i'M SO HAPPY. I kept wondering why the references to Moya's pregnancy seemed so out of place. I missed 3 episodes...I thought that the reverse sides were just special features but they tricked me on one of the discs. I've got three more episodes still to watch!!!!! *dances round and round in circles*

Anyway, back to the two I watched out of order. The Flax was a little too predictable I though though a nice Rigel episode. I totally didn't see the thing about Stanz being the female of the species coming. That was so hilarious!!! Jeremiah Chricton was nice in ways. Nice idea, nice concept, yet I feel myself wishing they'd explored John surviving on his own more. I mean, there's been nothign that I've seen to indicate that he's super lumberjack guy and knows how to survive on his own. But yeah he did.

So far the time loop episode and Mad scientist are my favorites I think. Okay, lost all train of cohesive thought when I realized that I still have more scape to watch.

'DMAN Mad Scientist' is a very cool episode. I loved the starmap - it was very shiny. Hee.

BTW: You can get the boxed sets (not the Starburst edition, just regular) at www.deepdiscountdvd.com for $90.00 and free shipping. It's not great, but it does save you some money, in case you were going to do that.
