Soo, old floppy disks - mostly the 3.5 inch hard variety,

If I were to want to erase them (and no longer have any floppy drives at my disposal), would running a magnet over them be enough? If so, is a kitchen magnet enough or do I need a more hard core one?

Also open to other methods of breaking them. Fairly sure some of them still have personal info other than just old papers on them...

I usually run a magnet over them and then take a knife to the tape-ish bit.
