That's what I've been saying since I read the first hints that it might actually be GOOD rather than crap...I've got my cash set aside for the DVDs, and I'm trying real, real hard not to get my hopes up. ::sigh:: TV has made me bitter.
But if I remember...Xfiles almost bit the dust itself even though the first couple of years of as a network fox was extremely forgiving of ratings. But eventually it got so much press that it gained. I remember mostly because i didn't watch till midway thru season 2 and then finally decided fine, I'm home on fridays, i might as well see what the hoopla is (i was like 11).
Yes, I think that was back in the days when they didn't have any hit shows other than the Simpsons. They were maybe a little more willing to give a show 5 minutes to maybe catch on.
