jebbypalHeh, you know what happens when i'm home alone on the holidays? LJ spam and cooking!
Irish beef stew on veggie steroids is started. (and hacking up a raw roast is hard work). Eating a smoothie to tide me over for a bit, though I do have left over steak if I need too. Also on the agenda - washing bedding and making a pecan pie. Guess which one I'm looking forward to most (though trying to block out the amount of sugar involved -- 1 and 1/2 cups of cane syrup plus another 1/2 cup of sugar????? omg, pancreas already hurting just typing that).
Watched a lot of movies last night. Love Actually - was good, but I think I'd have preferred it if they focused on fewer characters. Made of Honor - BLECK. Watched for Kevin McKidd, mildly entertained at first, and then loathed the ending that makes it okay for a guy to be a male whore and then still get the interesting girl. . Also watched Friday Night Lights the Movie and wow, I like the series soo much more. I do have to give a nod to the movie for getting Texas 80s fashion spot on.
Think I'm tired of movies now so today shall involve video games and possibly a farscape/firefly marathon. Gonna try to get the fandom groove on this weekend. We'll see what happens.
