McCain broke - turning to lobbyists to bail out campaign
FISA: House passes 15 day extension on FISA . This dumps the bill into the Senate's lap and gives us more time to put pressure on democratic representatives to hang tight with Dodd.
Remember the power of the purse argument for defunding Iraq? And the question of whether or not Bush would adhere to anything budgetary that he didn't agree with? We have the answer: NOPE! He just issued signing statements on a bill nullifying the sections having to do with establishment of an Iraq contracting commission, Iraq contractor whistleblower protection, and the ability of Congress to defund permanent Iraqi bases. All hail King George He's also issued an executive action telling federal agencies to ignore Congressional earmarks. Ummm....let's hope he's bored witht his job by next January and looking forward to years of clearing brush in Texas.
And in case there was still any doubt, FEMA covered up the risk posed by formaldehyde tainted trailers

And that's what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than trying to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family."
I mean, why do we even have a constitution when the bible is all the law we'll ever need?!
