Think twice before you have something disallowed in your carry-on luggage. You might be dealing with the security guard that had this 80 y.o. arrested for the brass knuckles in his luggage.
Body armor execs indicted for stock fraud and tax evasion
Bureacracy hampered early CA firefighting efforts by keeping key firefighting aircraft grounded
Surprise (not). Fox news is blaming Al Qaeda for CA wildfires. Well, I guess that's a step up from Hollywood and the gays.
Siigh, I can't find the link now of course (gotta start actually using google bookmarks I guess). Anyway, in case you haven't seen, Guiliani has declared that illegal immigration is the biggest problem facing our nation and that as President, he'll do what he did in NYC for crime and expand the border patrol so that there are three agents every fifty or so miles along the border, build a smart fence across the border with Mexico, etc because eventually "people will realize that they can't get over the border and in a few years behavior will change and they'll stop coming". Oh, and this must be done before we can focus more on terrorism.
My only response to hearing this is WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE BORDERS? (Not that I'm for this sort of program, but it seems a little short sighted). We have tons of coast line and people are animals who once they go somewhere long enough that no food is left out, they'll stop coming. No, people then look at available data and find another way. Say, oh I don't know, BOATS. Humanity has only been building them for 2000+ years. Also, how the hell are you going to fund this and continue TWO WARS ON TWO FRONTS? (not to mention the fact that we all know RG's rattling the sabers as hard as GW to start things off w/ Iran. Not as hard as Bomby McCain, but still). Where's the money for oh, Social Security, education, courts, or maybe some pay raises for the military (which remember GW promising that? Yeah, he's pretty much reneged big time) to name a few.
