Not much of an update, but something to watch for..
First, Dems continue to not to get it, with reports saying they are approving a permanent version of FISA.
Second, the US continues to say that the Surge was to allow for reconciliation between politicians in a "violence free zone". Too bad Iraqi politicians say there's no chance for reconciliation and everything is a "struggle for power". Is it just me, or do those last three words fit the definition of a "civil war"? Just curious.
Finally, we come to a test of how much the US will pay attention to Iraq soverienty. Iraq has told the US to end its association with Blackwater in Iraq within six months.
