Anyone got a clue?

jebbypalSo, I'm using a mac mail client at work and got my gmail to pop to it so I can keep up w/ important school stuff. I even figured out how to make sure the mac client didn't delete the messages off of gmail.
Only problem is now at home, Mozilla Thunderbird won't download any message that I've viewed with the mac client, even though it's still in the gmail inbox.
Anyone got a clue? if not, do you know if eudora for mac will avoid this behavior?

that said, the apple works suite is superior to MS Office. I admit it. (at least for powerpoint and word. Undecided on the excel clone yet).
