For All Mankind
Dec. 29th, 2019 11:03 amSo yesterday i took advantage of the "free first episode with no details given" from apple TV+ and watched the first episode of For All Mankind. And then i signed up for 7 days free to watch the entire rest of the season.
So no spoiler here, but concept is that Russia got the first man on the moon in the 60s, and then US/NASA response and ongoing space race.
Conclusion: excellently written (conceived and first ep by Ron Moore), great direction and filmography, and excellent actors. Honestly, while binging it, it starts to feel like it is the real history, that's how intricate and attention to detail they have to it IMO.
Anyway, if you are looking for something novel, that hits multiple notes instead of grimdark or exceedingly happy, and has a lot of great character actors, i highly recommend it. (s2 has begun filming but won't be around till next fall probably).
spoilers under the cut
