jebbypalTwo papers in five days. Yes, my boss is gone again so the constant harrassment won't be as much of an issue. ;) The main benefit of this is the fact that I can go to work, do my work, and get the hell out of work without feeling guilty etc. Which is especially convenient since we have the extra body of the college summer student in the lab.
Last game of the hockey series tonight..well, potentially. Game 4 was excellent.
I was weak last night. Very very weak. I found out that CDBaby had a compilation of Caroline's Spine's past hits (curse you, flist, for taunting me with the all the awesome bands I should have somehow discovered in the 90s and yet didn't).....plus a new album of theirs. So very weak.
Also, my body would like to inform you that there is no way in hell i'm ever going to make it wake up at 5:30 am. And if I try, it will make me sleepwalk to snooze until 7:30 and thereby screw my day to hell. Just an fyi for you to hit me over the head with some day.
Oh, and I went through and changed my layout again...I think it's the impending move getting to me. Since I can't just throw stuff out willy nilly, I take my urges out on my lj. I really like the design contest layouts they have available, although I find it a bit unsettling that we can't change ANYTHING about them. Mostly, I'd like to get rid of the huge list of tags down the side of my screen, but ah well.
I also do not know what is up with everyone I give a check to lately holding it forever. Rent deposit was finally cashed two days after I signed the lease. My landlord has had my rent check since after memorial day, but I did ask her to wait till the first to cash it. Still, as of yesterday, I still had it in my bank account. I did force her to confirm that she recieved it. And the condo still hasn't done anything with the freight elevator deposit. I loathe when this happens because it reminds me all too well of the college tuition office holding my checks forever and then suddenly cashing them AFTER I forgot about them and causing me to be overdrawn. Yes, I have issues w/ balancing checkbooks despite having science degrees. SUE ME.
