A slight issue....

Dear CW,
I want to say that I like rooting for the underdog. I supported whatever shows that UPN and WB had that I actually liked. I want to support the shows on the CW that I still like. However, I have to say, you are making it incredibly difficult.
Top Model and Beauty and the Geek were one thing. Yes, they were top rated hits on your parent channels. Top Model can be vapid, but really, no more so than "So You Think You Can Dance?" and American Idol. And my issues with Top Model revolve much more around the fashion industry in general than with the premise of your show. Beauty andn the Geek, well, I'd like you to mix it up a little and do some hot guys w/ super intelligent girls, but I've pretty much given up on that since that's apparently too "out of the box" for Kutcher and co. But whatever. You do legitamately want to give the prize to whichever pair changes and grows the most and it even occassionally happens. And again, I hold the girls and guys themselves mostly responsible for their actions, though I'm sure there's some encouragement in the background.
But really, "The Next Pussycat Doll". Dude, you've gone over the line. Waaay over the line. You can't see the line anymore.
First off, you should teach the panel judges, and even Mark McGrath, to somehow act like something other than pimps. Of course, that's hard when the girls are barely clothed, barely 18 for the most part, and playing to a crowd of mostly guys who are telling their dates their taking them to a concert and going to see a wannabe pussycat doll show instead of taking their girl to a strip club.
Seriously. You can say you are about empowerment, but when your message is barely clad bodies and overly sexualized songs, all you've created is objectification which a few talented girls manage to rise above and make a name for themselves.
If this tripe actually gets picked up and done again, or something similar put on in its place, quite frankly, I'm not going to feel bad about giving up the one show on your network that I actually enjoy watching. At least then I won't feel like I'm putting feminism back ten years by proxy.
no respect,
me.
