Did he really just say that??

Cause I've got to say, I'm flabbergasted by this quote:
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales says federal judges are unqualified to make rulings affecting national security policy, ramping up his criticism of how they handle terrorism cases.
More discussion with references to how Herr Gonzales knocked down the Senate Judiciary Commission investigation as well as Plamegate.
Ummmmm, what? That just boggles the mind. Maybe if every bit of your national security policy didn't involve abusing human rights and then declaring "top secret or presidential privelege", the judges wouldn't have so much to rule about.
This is particularly mortifying if you've been following the fact that Bushco is forcing a number of US Attorneys (that were appointed by Bush and have no apparent misconduct in their files) to resign and using a subsection of the Patriot Act to allow the US Attorney General to appoint successors, who by the way will remain in office until the end of Bushco's reign of power.
You know, I really am starting to feel like I've woken up in a different country. Has anyone thought about putting the US Constitution under protective custody so no one in Bushco can destroy it and tell us after the fact that the Bill of Rights was a figment of our imagination just like Betsy Ross making the US Flags???
