*note the sarcasm there*

Abstract was completed in an hour or so this morning. My boss didn't give me any corrections -- which tells me most likely she's annoyed I waited so long. I would have had it done this weekend but I couldn't find the data I needed. Ah well. It's in. It's a grad group retreat. And this year, I can officially say that this will be my last one regardless of whether they give me the phd or not. Woohoo (and I didn't let the two more notices of thesis defenses of people in years behind me depress me today).

Sadly, no banana chips to be found at TJ's this evening. Which annoys me because they had them exactly 1 week ago. *growls* I love TJs folks, but they annoy the hell out of me with non-regularity of food I come to love. We won't talk about the times they continue to offer it and then it ends up making me sick over a period of time. Of course, it was slim pickings becase apparently they hadn't restocked since the last delivery before the holiday, so maybe later this week.

She had an epidural last week (wed or thursday). She said it hurt like hell when they gave it to her and the rest of the day. Then it was okay and pain free for a day before the pain came back worse than anything she's ever experienced. I can't find anything on cortisone epidural complications that would square with that unless they actually did some lasting nerve damage. Then again, I also recall her having something similar happen prior to the back surgery when the epidural would relieve the pain for a day and some of the swelling which would then put all the weight of bones on her nerve and cause more pain. From everything I can find, that seems most likely since she isn't having symptoms of a tear in the spinal canal (and I don't think they were actually delivering it to the spine itself).

Other poking around has made me convinced she has addison's --- either secondarily through all the prednisone use or even the primary disease itself. Not sure if they'll be able to tell for sure without taking her off prednisone for a month or so -- which I don't see happening at this point. But it explains her fatigue, depression, lack of appetite, and stomach upset/intestinal problems. Of course, she's so doped up right now that telling her any of this wouldn't make a difference.

which is right about when I start to consider going into medicine.....except I have nothing but contempt for the largest majority of doctors because I always feel like they have the intelligence and curiosity of a sixth grader. which wouldn't go well towards me playing nice through internship and residency. And god, 8 more years of bottom of totem poll. *shudders*

god, if i have kids, their pediatrician is going to LOATHE me.

I no longer have any guilty desire to watch big brother. It was just fun to watch will pull everyone's strings this season. And I totally have no wish to watch erika anymore..girl makes me sick to my stomach to just look at her for not particular reason. If it's erika/boogie final two -- boogie wins most likely. erika/janelle -- no contest, janelle will have the votes and she definitely had the better game.

and if you have a neilsen box/diary and have any kind feelings towards me whatsoever, you'll program (or write down) that you watch standoff. *puppy dog eyes*
