ya think that we'll recognize that turkey and iran are acting under the same motivations as we did when we entered iraq or that israel did when it attacked lebanon? (not that any of these is right, mind you).

Date: 2006-08-18 05:47 pm (UTC)I don't know anything about the political situation in Turkey, but the president of Iran is a foaming-at-the-mouth fundamentalist and former hostage-taking terrorist. Whatever motivations Iran might have as a country, I think they are simply a convenient excuse. Of course, so was September 11 for Bush's invasion of Iraq.
