Not alot to say this weekend apparently. I think my brain and motivation are on hiatus after last week:) I"m sure my normal spamming will resume at some point. No, not depression. I haven't had time to get depressed about my birthday for once. Clearly, I should always plan trips to see friends in successive stages around my birthday...that way I always have something to look forward to rather than thinking on things better left unthought.

I did make some adjustments to my flist -- nothing personal at all, just narrowing it down a tad. Basically our interests have diverged and we don't comment etc. I'm sure I'll still drop by on occassion:)

In other news, luridmuse, you can never live in the same state as my mother. I think if that happened, karma would take notice and throw an asteroid into it. *rolls eyes* Yes, this is a clever way to say my mother had ANOTHER bad fall (keep in mind, she's never been able to complete rehab for her back surgery since she's gotten two hairline fractures that may or may not be the result of a fall she had a month after surgery on xmas day).

for many years, she had several slipped discs that eventually became crushed as a combo of lupus and osteoporosis ate away at her lower spine. When they did the surgery to fuse her lower back, they found that her spinal cord had been crushed to smaller than a drinking straw which explained her weak legs, poor blood flow in her legs, and the amount of pain she'd been in for several years. It's just been a long road of recovery because they keep putting her on complete bed rest both before and after the surgery in order to try to get some leg wounds to heal and now w/ the hairline fractures to her hip.

That's terrible. I hope she recovers enough to be able to do everything she wants/needs--and that she doesn't keep falling down. (Was the fall a random thing, or do her neuro/skeletal issues make it more difficult to keep balance and such?)

she's a life long klutz, nothing to really do w/ any of her probs other than never knowing where her limbs are in relation to her body. Woulnd't be so bad if she wasn't 5'10:P

good gods.. your right, her and I can never live in the same state, infact, now I worry about moving back to Texas, we might be too close even then for Karma not to notice us..
