Dude, you guys are being mega-quiet today. Really. So of course, now I feel obligated to add in the "how was my day" post.

I almost lingered to watch the end of the Nadal-Federer tiebreak, but B was waiting downstairs so i couldn't. If I'd known it would be a grand total of a few more minutes, I probably would have. It's too bad, I'd like to see Federer win the Grand Slam, but he obviously has not cracked the enigma of clay when playing Nadal. I do echo the commentators and hope that Nadal comes to play during the US Open.

Went to see Cars with B today. Which was a near thing since we seemed to be almost blocked at every pass -- we encountered a MAJOR accident on one of the side roads after we exited the interstate, and it was in an area where B didn't know the side streets well. So that was an adventure that fortunately ended okay.

In all, I HIGHLY recommend Cars even if you think it's an odd movie for Pixar to make or whatever. Trust in them -- they haven't let you down yet, and this movie definitely lives up to it's predecessors.

Very, very cute. I was sad that the agent, Harv, appeared as little as he did since I"m almost positive that it was Jeremy Piven. The oddest part was to hear the song Life is a Highway sung by someone other than Tom Cochrane....or if it was a re-recording by him, his voice has changed a ton (for the worse). Cochrane and that song were one of my first big "non-Phil Collins" related music finds, so I'm a little scandalized that it's' already been remade. And a very poor remake. I'll upload the original if there's anyone who hasn't heard it.

Anyway, it was very fun and very well done right down to the car fender carvings in the rock at the grand canyon. Fortunately, all the kids were very well behaved at our movie (and it wasn't packed, which was nice as well).

I did get my birthday gifts (EARLY, no one's missed it. It's still a month away) from B today --- upgraded to the RAZR phone so that hopefully I'll have a phone that works (He's had a much better time w/ cingular service since getting his, so i'm hopeful). He also got me gelatto from the place in Wilmington that makes it themselves (and stacey-safe). Finally, I"ve been asking for a container of it as a gift for about two years now. Sadly, he couldn't get a bigger container because he only had a small ice chest with him, but oh well. :):)

Now I'm going to go collapse in bed.
