The Venture Bros Season 1 is finally available for shipping from Amazon (or you can find it in a store near you assuming they aren't sold out). Trust me when i say that you MUST have this hilarious series if you have any amount of warped sense of humor at all. Like Southpark -- you'll love this. Like The Oblongs cartoon -- omg, you must must must have this. Like Robot Chicken -- you'll get hours of enjoyment from adding this to your collection as well. Like the Tick -- this series definitely has the same tone of humor as that show.

Trust me, you must must have this. It's 14 episodes and will introduce you to the series so that you are all prepped to watch season two this fall on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block.

For a brief summary of the premise, the Venture Bros are a satire version of the old time cartoon Johnny Quest. Dr. Venture (James Urbaniak from Henry Fool) is an inventor, while sons Hank and Dean's insatiably curiosity lands them in hot waterwith supervillains, robots, magicians, and the like. Brock Sampson(voiced by the very funny Patrick Warburton of The Tick) is the good doctor's right-hand man, who rescues the boys with good old-fashioned manpower. The twist in The Venture Bros.is that every single character, down to the supervillains' henchmen, are complete and utter dolts, and their adventures are inspired more byfoolishness, personal obsessions (for Brock, it's sex and violence, andfor Dr. V, it's diet pills and a daddy fixation), or just plain cosmicweirdness than any sense of post-Kennedy-era adventure and derring-do.

Trust me, buy or rent or whatever this series. You'll thank me one you manage to catch your breath from the laughter.
