Well, finally...

something goes right this week.
I have to confess, part of my bad mood has been me being pissed at myself for risking my new dress shirts in the dryer. Turns out I was right, even low temp as advertised on the care tag caused them to shrink and now it's a question of whether I can wear them withouot getting blisters under my arms. And somehow, this is something I doubt 5 lb of weight loss would do any good. I hate the fact that when I buy shirts to fit the way they are supposed to, they always end up not fitting me SOMEWHERE after the fact. In the past, it's been the bust, but the underarms aren't unexpected.
But in the good news, I finally got my order from Sierra Trading post that included a pair of now discontinued style of dansko shoes that were heavily discounted (40ish instead of 140) as well as some shirts (that I haven't had the heart to try on). But after a nap and a night full of taking a break from reality and just watching whatever danced on the tv screen, I popped on the shoes.
The fit. REally and truly they fit. And they aren't mismatched color wise like the last pair of dansko's that I got when the shoe store in OK was going out of business. the left one does have a crease/dent across the top as if someone stepped on the shoe or something, but nothing that affect the fit. And I don't think they'll give me blisters. Lovely, mature shade of red wine brown. And I'm hoping that without the strap across the foot, my right ankle will quit doing this thing it's been doing that I've been attributing to the weight of the shoe on the strap. ONly other explanation would be my discover that the right arch is actually higher on that foot so that I should really be using the orthotic insoles..but my left foot is fine so I've been ..hoping I could be normal in one pair of shoes.
but they fit!! Too bad it's raining tomorrow:P Ah well, at least I'll look like a grownup on Friday.
