Better

Well, thanks for putting up with all my flocked and email disabled whining yesterday. I don't know if it was start of the month hormones or just a combination of everything, but I did manage to starve myself out of the mood of doom I had going on yesterday and actually slept a bit better. Though I had many many wierd dreams that I no longer recall. Switched up my breakfast cereal in case said mood was vitamin related even though I felt so much better just upon waking up and then had a very very long and nice talk with B. Was finally in a place where the venting helped and it was good to talk to him when he wasn't in a bad mood for once. And we nixed all the plans for this week and decided to hope that the weekend forecast will hold out for sixty degree sunny weather on saturday and just go out somewhere where we can walk around and soak up the sun. And get the hell out of the city for a couple of hours. So I feel much better about that. No need to rent a car after all:P And I'll be able to do laundry by then and might not look like a beggar wearing sweaters that are finally falling apart after being worn to death for four years straight.

And I watched with much glee NCIS and The Unit last night. NCIS never fails to bring a smile to my face which confirms probably that I will buy season 1 after I finally get to see some of it off of netflix to ensure that I like that season. I so like Zhiva better than Kate. Abby was cute with her bad mood and passive aggressive behavior. Mark Harmon shouldn't still be able to make me grin like a little kid with as old as he is, but he pulls it off. I hate charming guys:P And omg, Tony's reaction to the "natural" forest woman. So very cute.

The Unit was actually much better than the commercials had made it out to be. If you are familiar with the Shield, you can definitely see Shawn Ryan's hand in it. The plots are believably solid and the characters are interesting and deep even just from the introduction. i do feel that Amy Acker can act rings around the "new" unit wife though. I have no clue what it was that caused her to be dropped but can only conclude that she could actually act rings around all the women except for the older black woman (sorry, I suck with names even for tv shows). But the guys, oh yum, the guys;) :) I hope that this show actually makes it and hopefully with the lead in from NCIS it will. Especially as it will be very good counter programming for Idol and there's not really all that much else on on Tuesdays at that time period. *crosses fingers*

I'm still freaking out about the ficathon and uncertain of whether the story will come together in time. The bunny is developed-ish, I just need to get over my budding insecurities and write the story even if it does seem like the same one over and over. I don't have time to redo things. I definitely think this will be the last ficathon I sign up for. I suck at firm prompts. REaly really really suck.

Also had an epiphany that may make the joss100 stuff a little easier -- I think I'll try to use some of the words to do a coda for each of the Firefly episodes---that gives me guaranteed bunnies for 13 words anyways without having to wonder if my backstory for book is being true to his character. Of course, I know I make it harder for myself since I don't do any of them as if they were related. I just wait for a bunny that looks plausible to eat a word and go.

Can't wait to beta for [livejournal.com profile] ignipes though. I must say, I'm looking forward to that more than I should probably;) LOL. And yes, I'll probably rub it in your faces. :) LOL.

I should apologize to my flist though --- I know I haven't been commenting on fic much lately at all. I'm in a very wierd place where reading almost anything feels WRONG. It's something I go through usually when I'm in major writing mode, except I'm not there this time. I can only assume it's procrastination carry over from the strawberries. Speaking of which, if anyone wants to get in on [livejournal.com profile] bsastrawberries judging (Firefly Fanfiction Awards in case someone's been under a rock), I'm going to need a replacement for [livejournal.com profile] docmichelle it looks like (that or my email to her got horribly lost). I had her on slash romance and PWP (porn without plot) panels. Anyway, let me know. We don't have a firm deadline so the process should be pretty liesurely (mostly because with me having two major presentations in the next two months, one being thesis committee, I can't handle anymore deadlines.)
Okay, now I have to go and get ready for work. Though I think it to be a slow day, I have a dozen errands I do need to do on campus.
