Okay...so I really really don't know why I even turned the TV on when the month of september started. I know I know...I was depressed, bored etc, but that did not mean I needed to turn the tv on just so I could get my hopes up.

K, I'll start chronologically. Lost looks promising. I do wish they'd aired the entire premiere for 2 hours rather than dragging it thru 2 nights (for multiple reasons actually as you will see later). I mean come on, the Bachelor does not friggiing need a 2 hour premiere. I understand counterprogramming, but come on ABC, you had a chance to take ratings from both Law and Order and CSI...have a little faith in your offerings especially given what an investment you've made money wise in this show.
Impressions: actors can act, writers have a grip on how to write drama. Haven't figured out the twist w/ the island monster thingamajig yet, so looks promising (now just hoping it doesn't get too scary for me!!! yes I'm a big wimp w/ an overactive imagination!). That's all on the side of the good...on the side of the bad---1) gave away too much of next week's episode for obvious reason--first hour didn't give us quite enough to get us hook. Just show it altogether gorammit! 2) the effects for the monster look way too much like Predator as well as that stephen king tv movie from a few years back..the Tommyknockers I think. 3) do we have to see every frigging woman have hysteria crying in a stressful scary situation? Guess I should be glad the camera wasn't completely fixated on her boobs and that she left her shirt on instead of copying Survivor fashion.
So overall...hopeful....don't let me down:)

Then came the mistake of the night...was flipping through channels and I actually paused on UPN...horrid horrid mistake. I mean really, I swore it off after they cancelled 7 Days and replaced it with some horridly abysmal comedy. Actually considered boycotting buffy when it moved. But I was weak..so very weak. Watched the premiere of Veronica Mars....should have thrown the remote down and gone running when commerical for said show aried after show's opening credits and had quotes from TV guide saying "sure to be a cult hit". Waaaaahhh!! why does everything original have to be a cult hit? So writing is great, only real drawback is the narration, but they use it well w/ out of order sequences so i forgive it for the arty quality that one doesn't often see (waaahhh). Has really good actors that were obviously attracted by said script (*bangs head on desk*). And did I say it's original? Well sorta, i mean it obviously borrows a lot from alot of shows but the surprise factor is that it doesn't borrow from 90210, Melrose Place, Everwood, etc...no...it has to go and borrow from freaks and geeks:( If this show dies and that piece of crap teen hs show These are the Years survives....I swear, that's it..no more frigging network tv for me!!

On a completely unrelated note to rant, WILL SOMEONE PLEASE FIRE THE GAP ADVERTISING TEAM???? I mean first madonna...now Sarah Jessica Parker?? WTF???!! I so thought heroin chic was gone! Not to mention, if you are going to advertise w/ heroin chic, at least make it young heroin chic! Not too many miles on her heroin chic in really fu**ing bad ugly ass clothes! I mean..okay, i can say it, i'm thin..almost on the side of too thin, but geezzzz...I ain't that bad. When you have to worry about putting out someone's eye w/ an elbow, get some help girl...and don't show your ass dancing on tv pleaaaaaaseeeee!!!

K, now almost hoping veronica mars does fail so i never have to watch advertising again.

ending rant now...

That's pretty funny.

Personally I can't get upset over Sarah Jessica Parker--I still think of her as the dizzy teen from LA Story.
