Wireless Internet Help

Siiigh, it can't ever be easy, can it?

It had seemed that I'd gotten my new modem all up and spiffy and all...except since then, my ability to connect to either gmail or yahoo has been spotty at best. But if I hook in to the pirated wireless, I'm fine.

So, is it something to do w/ the modem's internal firewall? Will putting it down to medium fix it? Anyone have a clue?
