Depsite last night's failure, I managed to find a compatible battery for my phone from amazon for under 20 bucks! This after the motorola site offered the official battery for 50. Sorry, umm, no. I'd get a new phone first.
I also decided to try and fix my wireless modem issues. Tried the dsl modem that a friend gave me, but umm, it's older than my fried router and some quick research alerted me to fact that a) it's not very configurable and b) the software that allows you to configure it costs money and doesn't work very well.
So I broke down and called Verizon to learn what their deals were since their website WON'T GIVE ME THE DAMN INFO. the versalink which is supposed to be the modem/router/wireless in one actually goes for 45 bucks w/ a normal one for 35. So since I saved some money on the battery, I splurged.
Whee, my modem will be up to date for once.
