wherein my brain doesn't hurt...

At least not yet.:P
Though as long as I've been working on these excel spreadsheets,it probably should. I used to think doing FACs with 50 bajillion tubes was bad...doing these damn CHiP experiments with so many variables that I have to scroll through 5 pages of data to do calculations and crap---much worse. Especially since my standards for one plate didn't work so I don't know if I should trust anything it gave me. Whee, fun not.
Mentally, I'm feeling better than I have all week. Must be the approaching weekend. That or I finally recharged my B battery since I had to stop at his place last night on the way home to borrow a sweatshirt for the walk home. The wind only got worse all day and I did not have enough layers even if I did have my wool coat. Of course, he looked so pitiful because Hell lab has only become more hellacious since I abandoned him there that the end result was me massaging him for about twenty minutes. Still, it was probably good for both of us -- gave him something good for the week and well, I just don't do well when my only contact with the boy is over the phone. And when we went out last week didn't really count since his friend was annoying the hell out of me. (well, to be fair, they both were, but I blame the friend).
You know, doing the contact stuff for The Strawberries isn't nearly as painful when every time you hear back from an author, they are telling you how much you just made their day. Surprisingly (and scarily), about a quarter of them haven't heard of the awards even though they are on LJ. Guess my corner of LJ Firefly Fandom is rather insular. So yeah, if you see a deluge of banners at the various communities, it's cause I'm attempting last minute pimping.
Yeah, I'm bored and procrastinating on work. So sue me.
But instead, go sue the Tumblebug game. I swear that thing is more addictive than tetris and level 8 is driving me insane.
End of spam.
