Great article about Serenity's chances for a sequel

It says that Serenity's DVD sales are staying neck and neck with Wedding Crashers and also gives the details of an easter egg on the DVD.

Isn't that the best news! I thought Joss wasn't interested, but this seems to indicate that he is just waiting to see if it is economical.

The way I'd seen it (especially given the already signed cast contracts for two more), everyone always wanted to do more IF Universal would greenlight them. It was just a wait and see game for profits, but the movie returns were so-so and the studio big wigs that talked publicly wouldn't say if good dvd profits would factor into the decision.

I have to say, about the best sign I saw was when I was home in rural OK and movie store people didn't know what Serenity was but every copy was rented out in both the stores I went to over the holiday.
