1. A structural or behavioral characteristic peculiar to an individual or group.
2. A physiological or temperamental peculiarity.
3. An unusual individual reaction to food or a drug.
List five of your own idiosyncrasies and then tag five friends to do the same.
1.) Hmm...I probably don't need to list this one, but yeah, I can't eat corn or corn byproducts. Not life threatening allergy persay, but sometimes I sure wish it was while the reaction is occuring.
2.) I bite my lips, alot. Generally starts when I'm stressed/nervous and then I have a heck of a time breaking myself of it when things go back to normal. It's worse nowadays that I can't chew gum either.
3.) I pop a lot of joints. I'm not just talking knuckles here -- knees, shoulder, ankles, etc. Used to do my neck too until I learned that was half of why I was straining my neck. My knees I've popped forever--always seem to get a lot of pressure in them and it hurts till I relieve it. My grandmother used to threaten me that it would cause my knees to get big and hit each other when I walked. It didn't :P
4.) Itchy clothes. And that includes a lot of fabrics. Absolutely cannot wear lace, wool, or anything that could be prickly (including some odd wierd cotton clothes that have been appearing on the market for the last year) because as soon as I sweat I will start scratching myself bloody.
5.) I hate the taste of mint. Cannot stand it and generally the smell of it makes me nauseous too. This isn't due to an aquired association or anything; I'VE NEVER LIKED IT. Peppermint, spearmint, anything -mint, ugghh. This caused for a lot of crying and screaming when dentist appointments came around when I was younger. So yeah, you have me to thank probably for bubblegum flavored dental things.
Not tagging anyone because I think everyone on my flist already did this.
ETA...so apparently my brand of oatmeal was the culprit. Which sucks because my body really had gotten used to more calories than can be found in cream of wheat.
